Traveling in-cabin with your pet
There aren’t many options when it comes to in-cabin air travel with a pet. If you happen to have a small dog or cat, you might be able to stow them under the seat in front of you with some commercial airlines. But what about for the rest of us? What if Moose (your english bulldog) doesn’t fit in the carrier? Or what if the airline you need for your destination doesn’t allow pets in-cabin? Do you just not go where you need to go? Nah. That doesn’t sound like fun.
Sure, there are options where your pet can travel on your flight, but in the cargo hold. This option is more suitable for things like luggage or cargo. They’re a cold, dark, loud, scary place. Think about it, most of us find the leg room on a cross country flight to be uncomfortable and unacceptable.

Our founder, Krystina, developed Jet Wag out of a need SO dear to her heart.
”After nearly seven years of living in Australia, moving back home to California with my French Bulldog, Betty, was challenging. Extensive research and inquiries revealed that flying Betty safely was nearly impossible. Every day, I would tear up thinking about all the activities I would love to do with Betty in California, fearing that I would never see that day. I decided that saying goodbye to her and moving home on my own was not an option. I would do whatever it took for us to stay together. From then on, I knew my purpose was clear—not just for me and Betty, but for all the pet owners who shared their heart-wrenching stories with me, stories that didn't always have a fairytale ending. I was determined to find a way to keep pets out of cargo holds to travel safely by their humans’ side. From there, Jet Wag was born. Betty and I successfully flew side by side from Sydney to Los Angeles. We spent 3 adventurous years together in California. I treated her to trips to the beach, stand-up paddleboarding sessions, and countless brunch outings.
Tragically, Betty passed away from Lymphoma in 2023. Still, her memory drives my commitment to not only ensuring pets travel safely in the cabin but also share wonderful experiences, adventures, and memories with their family. Her life taught me the importance of cherishing every moment with our pets and providing them with the best life possible. Don’t they deserve that?”
